About This Program

Doctoral research in Materials Science and Engineering at the Technion explores advanced materials, nanomaterials, polymers, ceramics, and electronic materials. The program leverages the Technion's exceptional characterization facilities and strong connections to Israel's semiconductor, defense, and energy sectors. PhD graduates contribute to both academic research and industrial R&D in materials-intensive industries.

Entry Requirements

Candidates with a master’s degree who studied at an accredited academic institution in Israel or abroad, with a GPA and thesis paper grade 80 or above, may apply. Each department has the right to determine specific requirements. Information is available on their websites. PhD candidates are required to find an advisor before applying and submit two recommendations letters- one from the Master’s degree advisor.
