About This Program

Doctoral research in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Technion spans signal processing, communications, microelectronics, VLSI design, and power systems. The department is a global leader in chip design and communications research, with faculty who have shaped foundational technologies used worldwide. PhD graduates lead R&D at major semiconductor firms and academic departments globally.

Entry Requirements

Candidates with a master’s degree who studied at an accredited academic institution in Israel or abroad, with a GPA and thesis paper grade 80 or above, may apply. Each department has the right to determine specific requirements. Information is available on their websites. PhD candidates are required to find an advisor before applying and submit two recommendations letters- one from the Master’s degree advisor.
