About This Program

The PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Technion addresses critical challenges in infrastructure, water resources, geotechnical engineering, and environmental sustainability. Doctoral candidates work on research with direct applications to Israel's water management, construction, and urban planning needs. Graduates contribute to academic research, government agencies, and consulting firms focused on resilient infrastructure.

Entry Requirements

Candidates with a master’s degree who studied at an accredited academic institution in Israel or abroad, with a GPA and thesis paper grade 80 or above, may apply. Each department has the right to determine specific requirements. Information is available on their websites. PhD candidates are required to find an advisor before applying and submit two recommendations letters- one from the Master’s degree advisor.
