About This Program

The PhD in Chemical Engineering at the Technion supports doctoral research in catalysis, process engineering, polymer science, energy systems, and environmental engineering. The department has produced pioneers in desalination and membrane technology — fields where Israel leads globally. Graduates contribute to academic research, chemical manufacturing, and Israel's growing cleantech and energy sectors.

Entry Requirements

Candidates with a master’s degree who studied at an accredited academic institution in Israel or abroad, with a GPA and thesis paper grade 80 or above, may apply. Each department has the right to determine specific requirements. Information is available on their websites. PhD candidates are required to find an advisor before applying and submit two recommendations letters- one from the Master’s degree advisor.
